Welcome to my new website and blog!

It’s not finished the way I want it yet but if I don’t get it up and running now, I’ll continue to procrastinate. So, I’m warning you, expect changes down the road.

Starting something new has a ton of emotional baggage attached to it.

Some people love the challenge and jump head on into new situations.

Others fear change, preferring to take the blue pill and stay in their nice, safe, predictable lives.

Me? I’ve been at both extremes in my life but, right now, I’m somewhere in between. I get this oh-God-this-is-going-to-be-so-cool-but-I-think-I’m-going-to-throw-up feeling. I’m scared as hell but know I need to take that first step if I want to reach my goals. Those babies are piling up and I’m not getting any younger.

So, here’s some kick-butt advice someone told me and I try to keep it in mind whenever that queasy feeling hits:

Rip the Band-Aid off.

Go on. The pain only lasts for a second. You’ve already analyzed all the angles. Don’t think about it any more. Just rip that sucker off and get on with your life.

My kids are now mortified.

Yes! *fist pump*

What project are you scared to start? What little step can you take to make it happen today?
